Aluminium Heat Dissipation Layer

Heat Mat’s Underlaminate Heating System uses a unique aluminium heat dissipation layer to ensure the warmth from the heating cable spreads evenly beneath the floor. The aluminium is placed above the heating cables and the heat is conducted throughout it, and above to the floor surface, very effectively.

Unlike alternative manufacturer’s products the aluminium layer is not used as a substitute earth, as the heating cable contains one itself. Although it appears intuitive to place the aluminium layer beneath the heating cables to ‘reflect’ the heat upwards extensive testing has shown that this is less efficient than placing the foil on top.
