Cable Repairs

Most electric underfloor heating cables can be repaired with a specific repair kit if they are damaged during installation. If a cable is cut, crushed or damaged in any way that severely marks the outer cable insulation it is recommended to cut the cable the cable in hald and then rejoin it with a repair kit.

Most repair kits utilise specialist heat shrink tubing that ensures the repaired join is as strong as the original cable. Any electrician would be able to carry out a cable repair and Heat Mat supply inexpensive repair kits for all Heat Mat undertile and in-screed heating cables.
