EMF Radiation

EMF Radiation, or Electromagnetic Field radiation, is a physical field generated by any electrically charged objects including electric underfloor heating, televisions, mobile phones and any other electrical item you use. Like all electrical devices underfloor heating has to emit below a certain level of EMF Radiation to be CE marked however these limits are put in place to prevent the underfloor heating from disrupting other electrical items nearby, not for health reasons.

Despite numerous scientific investigations there is currently no confirmed evidence showing a link between human health problems and ordinary low frequency EMF Radiation. Heat Mat do however make all of their heating mats and cables from dual conductor heating wires which virtually eliminates EMF Radiation and, in the case of the Underlaminate System, the heating cables are entirely earth shielded to minimise EMF Radiation.
