Floor Coverings – Tarmac

For outdoor applications a Tarmac covering is often used for driveways and similar areas. An in-screed cable system can be laid beneath this area to protect the Tarmac surface from frost, snow and ice and this is particularly relevant for steep driveways or even vehicle loading ramps.

If installing Heat Mat’s in-screed cable beneath Tarmac care must be taken not to pour molten Tarmac directly onto the heating cable as it may cause the outside to be damaged. Please contact Heat Mat’s technical support team for more information on this method of installation on 01444 247020.
