Frost and Snow Protection

Frost and snow protection is an increasing area of interest for underfloor heating companies. Usually utilising in-screed cables, systems can be installed to prevent frost and snow build up on ramps, drives and walkways outside as well as preventing icicle and snow build up on roofs as is can be required by Health and Safety legislation.

Heat Mat supply a variety of specialised external thermostats specifically for these types of application, all manufactured by OJ Electronics in Denmark. These thermostats measure the moisture in the air as well as the actual air temperature ensuring that the system is only powered up when it is cold and there is moisture in the air, preventing the system from heating when it is not required.
