JPEL64
JPEL64 is a working group that meets to provide clarity and clarification regarding electric regulations including the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations such as Section 753. In 2008 they were requested by a carbon film manufacturer to clarify the requirements for carbon films as some commentators believed the regulations were not clear as to their legality. After some deliberation JPEL64 decided that carbon films were legal for installation however only if they were Class 2 insulated.
