Mirror Heaters

Mirror heaters are also known as mirror demisters and they ensure a mirror remains condensation even when having a bath or shower in the same room. Mirror heaters normally stick directly to the rear of the mirror and are often wired through the lighting circuit of the bathroom ensuring they are only operational when the room is being used.

They are inexpensive to operate as most have an output of less than 100W and Heat Mat’s systems are double-insulated and IP57 rated for safety.

An alternative method for demisting large mirrors is to use a conventional 160W/sqm heating mat. This mat, or alternatively a loose cable, can be placed onto the wall and the mirror can then be attached to the heating mat with tile adhesive.
