U Value

The U Value, or Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient, is a measure of how well building materials conduct heat or conversely how well they insulate. The lower a U value is the more efficient the material is as an insulator so if you are looking for thermal insulation beneath your underfloor heating system the U Value will provide you with the most accurate measure of the insulations effectiveness.
