Underfloor Heating – Undertile Heating Cable

Undertile heating cables, also known as 3mm cables, are a loose cable that is installed beneath a tiled floor to provide underfloor heating. The cables are usually less than 3.5mm in thicknesses and therefore they do not add any height to the floor build up when they are installed, as they simply sit within the tile adhesive layer.

The cables are spaced by the installer so there is the option of increasing the heat output from one area to another, such as beneath a cold window or a particularly cool spot in the room. The cables allow great flexibility as you can install them exactly how you wish, however unless it is a particularly small or complicated room they take significantly longer to install than heating mats.
