Heated floors for a very important new home

Our underfloor heating is going to heat a very special home.

We have pledged to supply electric underfloor heating mats, cables and thermostats for the Electrical Industries Charity's Big Build Project supporting Caz Dickinson and her family.

This is Caz's story...

Caz Dickinson spent 15 years working for a large electrical wholesaler until her life changed in the blink of an eye.
In 2009, Caz collapsed in her home, hit her head on the bathroom floor and was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage. Since her collapse, she has faced numerous major operations and has been left with severe, irreversible brain damage.

Over the years, Caz’s husband Mick has cared for her while supporting their three daughters. Throughout this time, the family struggled to get financial aid, and when Mick was made redundant they were left without any income to cover the mortgage, hospital visits and other expenses. This sadly resulted in them losing their family home in 2013.

To help the family with their financial struggles and to allow them to focus on caring for Caz, the Electrical Industries Charity has launched the Big Build Project to help Caz with her future independence by working with industry partners to supply products and services for the build. The entire Challenge for a Cause 2018 aims to raise £250,000 to purchase a house for the family, the 'Big Build Project' and a 'Raise the Roof' initiative will then fund renovation work to adapt the property for their needs.

We have offered to donate heating mats, cables and thermostats for the Big Build Project to ensure the house provides a warm and comfortable environment for Caz and her family.

So far, the Charity has raised £150,000 of their £250,000 target and had over 50 people pledging £1,000 each through individual fundraising.

We are delighted to be involved with the Charity's 2018 Challenge for a Cause.
