Simple Connection

The HMT5 thermostat includes a built-in connection wizard, making it quick and easy to connect to your WiFi network—no additional hub is required. Each thermostat can be connected in seconds, and multiple thermostats can be controlled via a single App across multiple devices. If a wireless connection isn’t available, all functions can still be accessed via the touchscreen interface.

App Control

Using the Tuya Smart App, you can remotely manage your heating system from anywhere in the world. The App allows for full setup, temperature control, mode selection, and zone management when using multiple thermostats.

Sensor Settings

The HMT5 thermostat includes both an integrated room temperature sensor and an external floor sensor. It is compatible with a wide range of floor sensors (10k, 12k, 15k, and 100k), making it suitable for replacing existing thermostats without the need to change sensors. Sensor configuration options allow control based on floor temperature only (e.g. when the thermostat is outside the heated room), room temperature only (for other heating types), or room temperature with floor limit to protect floor coverings.

Lifestyle Modes

The thermostat features several user-friendly operating modes that override the programmed schedule for added flexibility.

Manual mode – Converts the controller into a simple manual up/down thermostat with no scheduling. Adjust the temperature directly from the home screen.

Boost mode – Temporarily activates the heating at full power for a set time to warm a cold room quickly. Once the boost period ends, the system returns to its programmed schedule.

Holiday mode – Sets the heating to a minimum temperature during your time away. Once the start and end dates are entered, the thermostat keeps the floor above freezing and ensures a warm return.

Heating systems must always be controlled by a suitable electric underfloor heating thermostat with floor temperature limitation. Heat Mat thermostats are rated to 16 Amps, and if a system exceeds this loading a suitably rated contactor should be used. The circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD and a suitably rated fuse or circuit breaker.
